Art Workshop

Updated: Feb 9, 2023

This 2-day Art Workshop in Kalarampatti was a unique and exciting opportunity for 60 children from different government schools who got to explore their creative side and develop their artistic skills. The facilitator of the workshop was Natarajan, a seasoned artist with a passion for teaching and nurturing the creativity of young minds.

On the first day of the workshop, Natrajan and his teamtook the kids to the nearby forest for a nature observation session. This was a great opportunity for the children to connect with nature and to be inspired by the beauty of their surroundings. Natarajan guided the kids in making observations and taking notes about the plants, animals, and landscapes they encounter, which they later used as the basis for their art projects.

In the afternoon, the children began their artistic journey by learning how to express their observations in clay art. Natarajan taught the kids the basics of sculpting and helped them to develop their own unique style. The children got the opportunity to experiment with different techniques and materials, and to create something truly special and one-of-a-kind.

On the second day, the kids continued their artistic exploration by learning about 2D art. Natarajan taught them about the different techniques and styles used in creating two-dimensional art, and the children had the opportunity to put their new knowledge into practice.

At the end of the 2-day Art Workshop, the children will left with a deeper appreciation for the arts and a sense of accomplishment. They will have new skills and techniques they can use to continue their artistic journey and to express their unique perspectives and experiences.
