The Creation!

Updated: Mar 17, 2023

An all-pervading law of nature!

Nature’s nature which is full of beautiful spirals, at different scales, and for different reasons. The greatest & jaw-dropping logarithmic spirals exist in formations such as galaxies and weather patterns because the interplay between physical forces and matter tends towards that shape, while they also exist in formations such as shells and plants because that is the most efficient way for them to grow. Embedded in nature is the language of mathematics.

We first recognised the mathematical beauty of the spiral (and its proportions) in nature and then drew on this as inspiration for our own aesthetic creations.

The most awaited journey begins with creating the Aarvam Logo which was planned as an activity toying with the idea of kindling curiosity in children with a little bit of everything - science, art, crafts, sensory and small world play. An open-ended activity was planned to set alight the creativity and imaginative play of the brain.

We wanted to explore this pattern and wanted kids themselves to come up with their own designs so we introduced a few visuals that had this pattern in nature

A Quick brainstorming warm-up session!

Aarvam exploratorium and its Satellite centres will allow our kids to dream - dreams of exploring the world of art, science, mathematics, humanities, the wonders of our Earth, the Universe, and Energy. As educators, we believe children need inquiry-based teaching and learning, to understand our very being through scientific and ethical lenses, to develop as an empathetic human beings, with an intrinsic love towards Nature.

Various Mediums of natural extracts, various thought processes on spiral and various curves.

Aren’t group activities really energetic & interactive? Students were divided into multiple groups and each group had an enthusiastic teacher who can bring out the full-on capability in every child!

Let’s go Wild!

And here it is, the Aarvam Logo inspired by nature, Payir kids and their observations. The logo is digitalized collectively from the spiral artwork done by our kids.
